To Phoenix in "A Blaze of Glory"

So one day Lenny heard about the BonJovi/Daughtry concert and thought it sounded fun to go to. The year that Chris Daughtry was on American Idol was the first year that Lenny and I watched it (and have been hooked ever since). He was by far our favorite that year and we were both upset when he was voted off. I vowed I wouldn't watch it anymore but that only lasted until the next week. Anyways...since that was forever ago...Lenny found out about the concert and we were set on going. Too bad it wasn't coming to Salt Lake. We asked McKay (Lenny's business partner) and Aimee (McKay's wife) if they were interested in going. They were. So we booked a flight to Phoenix, found some decent tickets for the concert and headed out of cold, snowy Utah and down to warm sunny Arizona. It was a great LITTLE getaway. We got some good rest, some good food and some great entertainment. The concert was AWESOME! I'm not even sure what the best part was. I'm for sure a bigger fan of Daughtry but Bon Jovi played a ton of songs that I hadn't even realized I already knew and really liked. The only bummer was me feeling like baby was going to fall out after standing for more that 10 minutes. So I would stand and then sit for a while (while EVERYONE else was still standing - although Lenny did sit down a couple of times with me. I'm not sure if he was just doing it so I wouldn't feel so stupid or if he was a little worn out too - anyways it was nice of him) and then I'd stand up again on the best parts of the songs and jump around a little and pump my arms a little until I had to sit down again. We had an incredibly great time and really want to thank both of our moms for helping with our kiddies while we were rockin out!

Some pictures of dinner and the concert.

Lenny and me at dinner.
It was a mexican resturant - which I don't really love
but they had the best dessert!

Daughtry singing a song

The insane crowd of people trying to buy concert merchandise -
and yes- we too waited through intermission and 3 BonJovi
songs to get our $45 workout shirts.

Jon Bon Jovi about 20 rows right in front of us!

Too funny, I didn't know you were a Daughtry or a Bon Jovi fan! Sounds like a good time though.

Speaking of, I'm taking Devin to a concert as a surprise over his birthday at the Depot (it's non smoking) but I'm worried about standing the whole time. I'll be only 3 weeks away, hopefully I don't go into labor at the show.

You're blog is so cute. How'd you do it? You must be some kind of computer genius. Sounds like a fun trip - heck, anyplace without kids for a day would be fun.

Oh yeah, I remember playing boxing with the wii - I got that same feeling - like my baby was gonna fall out. I think it gets worse with each child.

I love Daughtry! I haven't caught the "Idol" bug this season but I did love the season he was on there.

Where are you going this next week? I will be in SL next Tuesday but Lenny said that you guys are going to be out of town...bummer!

So congrats! I had no clue you were expecting again.
It must be nice to just take off and enjoy some alone time with Lenny, I feel I won't be able to do anything like that until my kids are in college.
Hope you guys are well

When I was leaving Mom's on Sunday, Abby opened the door and yelled, "Bye, Heather. See you on Saturday!" haha, what a cutie..
I think you forgot to take your Nanny to Mexico with you. I had my bags all packed and ready to go, but you never came. Oh well, you can just make it up to me next time.

Lenny boy! I am so happy to find your blog! (Well, your wife's blog) Hi Wife! I would say your name, but it wasn't on your blog! It is fun to see your little family but it is not fun to see that you have been copying our kids names! :)(Ok, I guess they aren't that original, but I think it is funny.) All but the last one. Anyway, what are you up to Lenny? What is your "business" that you just sold? I thought for sure you would be forecasting the weather or something good like that. Come by and say hello!

Lindsey
