Nothing says love like...

A less-than lethal weapon or dinner at Costco...or nothing at all. I know Valentines day is always February 14th, I mean it's not like I have no warning (although it seems to catch me unprepared every year). So you'd think I'd be able to get it together enough - at least to get something for my sweetheart by that time. But not so - at least this year. I had a list full of good intentions but I never acquired any of them. So when Lenny asked if I wanted the present he'd gotten for me I told him no and that I didn't really consider it Valentines day until I had something to give him. Well I ended up opening my present anyways. It was a taser - beware trespassers and predators. As unromantic as it may sound I actually think it was pretty thoughtful. There is a long, sort of funny, story about how I freaked out a little the last time he was out of town, so he got it so I'd feel a little more secure should he ever go again. I didn't think things could be any better than me with my taser and Lenny with his nothing but wait! I told Lenny we should at least go out and get something to eat with the kids. So we headed out trying to decided where to go as we were driving. Then we remembered we desperately needed some things from Costco. Since the kids love costco pizza (well Abby will only eat it if I take all the cheese off) we ended up having dinner there as well. So there we were. Valentines Day night sitting at a small , umbrella-less table in Costco. Lenny with his stinky polish dog, me cutting pizza into little pieces while Boston is impatiently waiting for it, Jackson whining after every bite that we aren't sitting at a table with an umbrella, and Abby trying to get a huge pile of melted mozzarella cheese off of her plate. Now isn't that romantic?

LOL- it's funny how much things change once you have kids. I'm sure it will be a real eye opener for us! Love the tazer idea though. Funny story.
